Default Shade of olive for Baetis imitation

What shade of olive do you all recommend for tying a baetis nymph immitation?
Plain olive, dark olive, light olive, golden olive?????

baetis nymphs to me usually look a light grey olive, atleast the ones that I have seen. Best thing to do is have a root around at your chosen spot and see what colour they are in the flesh, although I think getting the size and proportion right will help you much more.

it can vary from river too river but i like light olives light creamy olives and atleast one with a good dark blend in the pattern

G.E.M.Skues liked to use Condor herl for this, sometimes natural, sometimes picric dyed.

Hard to get now.

Ah, peace from the frantic posts of dabblers, snatchers, bumbles, dibblers and buzzers etc! Thank you!
Can't help much, but i think the advice given above seems sound, grey olive as a useful starter, maybe a hares ear blend to mix?

What colour is Sawyers PTN or a GRHE?
Both catch a power of fish, probably more so than realistic copies.
Go to the Entomology section and look for yourself, i reckon very pale olive for the natural .......not that i use it.
