Default Colour??

Just wondering what colour the french partridge i was given is died...looks like an orangey colour if that makes sense

I think its WOI Golden Olive

I like that Look Geordie, I've tied a french partridge mays with a turn and a bit of hot orange just behind the partridge. Have to get me some of that hot orange guinea fowl though, looks really good

I think ive got the bug with these patterns mate i seem to be accumulating quite a lot of them...i blame that Mayflyjunky fella...has me hooked on them

Cant blame ya there Geordie, you can never have enough of these types of patterns at Mayfly time. Peter ties to a different level, his paterns are something else

The french partidge mayfly patterns are fanatastic but I've been using this type more and more over the last 2 seasons, obviously in a good wave...

Looks fine to me....no need to apologize mate i dont even know how to use deer hair wish i could, im sure that creates a smashing wake on the surface.

It's brilliant in a wave, moves some serious water, I use two different types of this fly, the olive one (obviously) and a yellow with claret first hackle.

the yellow version works very well when there's a lot of fly hatching, might try it this year with an orange hackle.

I'll stick up a pic up as soon as I break out the camera.
