Can anyone advise what spider patterns are best suited to Yellow Mays ?

Partridge and yellow with a grey partridge hackle might be worth a swim.

Partridge & Yellow : with a very pale yellow silk!! Works well on the River Usk!

Also try tying a Partridge & yellow with a Mustard coloured silk and a Brown cotton used as a rib on the body! It works a treat.

Oliver Edwards does one on his upstream spider DVD - A simple finely dubbed pale watery yellow body, pearsall primrose thread, soft hen hackle dyed pale yellow.
