Default What's the material?

Pictures not amazing, but any ideas what the winging material here might be? It's like a fine fur/hair.

Hard to tell but it appears a little bushy for your average dyed black squirrel. It could be natural black but on a small fly it wouldn't move much. My guess would be black rabbit, especially if it's fine and soft or possibly arctic fox.

I would agree.

Highlander, you not got a macro function (a button with an image of a flower) on your camera?

With the flair to the material my guess is top guality fine bucktail, if it was less glossy would have guessed at calf tail !
A better picture would make it easier!
