Default beginners czech nymph swap

Hi all

Been tying for few weeks now and wondered if any1 would be interested in this? Would be gratefull if someone with a decent camera would head the swap. Be good to see ideas especially as being new to tying and always looking for other patterns.

Cheers as usual guys and girls

Matt

I'd be up to participating. I've been tying a few myself recently. My camera isn't great so I'd prefer not to host.

Exclamation Swap Information

Updated 7th March

The swap is now for 'river nymphs with a Czech slant, although not essential' to allow for some variety.

7 tyers included and 2 extra nymphs for me to forward to Casting for Recovery - so 9 flies from each participant.

Chosen pattern to be confirmed over the next week.

The tyers:
Degen83 - Czech Nymph - Received
SharkeyP - GH PTN Czech Style - Received
Splashtestdummy - Catgut Nymph - Hosting
Taffbargoed - Weighted Nymph - Received
Mayflyjunky – Shrimp (River Fly Box variant) - Pending Delivery
Squeeks - Prince Nymph - Received
Burhan - Czech Nymph - Received

Results available on Page 7

Flies to be received here in sunny S Gloucestershire by Saturday 6th March, aiming to post them on Weds 3rd would be good.

If I've got them all on the Saturday, they'll be photographed and posted on the forum / in the Royal Mail on Monday 8th.
Not possible at present

Jiffy Bags are suggested as a good idea in other threads. Either an envelope with a SAE Jiffy inside or just a jiffy with a stick on label with your own address sized to cover my address for return.

Any prob's PM me.

Default Fly swop

I reckon any newbie flytyer, like myself, should have a look at the one Lucian has just sold.
What a standard to aim for, and plenty of variety for the swop!
I doubt any of mine have reached a high enough standard for public display!

Out fishing in a mo, Czech Nymphs I've bought previously come in a good range of colours.

Perhaps we should go for a 'loose' Idea of interpreting Czech Nymphs or similar, I might have a go at those 'catgut nymphs', as tied by Lucien on here?

Only criteria I would ask for is that they are fishable, tied as well as the individual can muster (without being precious or judgemental on anyone's efforts) and that they are likely to work in the river?

Do you want in Spanielpup?

You'll get a few weeks to practice!

Later all, off air now.
