Default Avon Special

Does anyone have any information on Roy Christie's Avon Special? Has anyone fished it? Tied it? And are there any variants.

A very interesting fly..

Good link - I shall try one out and then PM Roy Christie a strongly worded complaint when it all goes horribly wrong..

Has anyone fished with it? Does it really fish hook bend/point up? If so it looks the biz!

It's actually defined as an emerger by Roy Christie, but it's the dry fly element that interests me the most.

I shall probably do my usual and tie a couple and then ask someone else to do it properly..
