Uni-mylar #14 ( cheap alternative )

Hi Folks.

My other half has done it again ! she came home from shopping and gave me this.


It is the same width as Uni-mylar #14 ( 1mm ). the stands are about 18" long and 19" wide when un-folded. she got them in a B&Q store

I have heard of this kind of thing before and wondered is it strong or can it snap easily.

Hi Folks.

Had to run off for my beans on toast

Just gave them both a pull and yes it snaps quite a bit more easily than the maylar, but she got them for 10p each.

I think I will use it with a wire rib over the top of it on bodies and for the price she paid I dont mind if they get trashed after a fish or two.

I got something very similar (in red) in my local h/w store when it was closing down, but found that the colour rubs off when wet.

I bought some from "The Works", it's snaps really easily when tying. I think that they might be paper in the middle....

Someone wrote on the forum that if you look around there's something similar for outdoor xmas trees it's a bit stronger.
