A very good start Edd. The first and second look fine. As John says, try tying them the other way too with an upward sweep to the tips rather than a downward one. Some flies look better with a down sweep like you've tied, especially sedges, whilst others look better with upswept tips like a butcher. Having said that, I don't think the fish are bothered either way.

I can't find a sbs or a description of the materials.
