Default freezer

when you put flies in the freezer to kill off bugs etc, do you need to put them in a plastic bag, or can you leave them in a plastic fly box or will it damage the fly box.

Yes do put them into a bag & remove as much air as possible. When you remove them, remove ALL the flies, & microwave them for 20/30 seconds. That will kill anything that the freezer doesn't. Don't put metal boxes, or boxes with ANY metal parts i.e. hinge pins/catches etc into the m/w though, wash them out & let them dry fully before returning the flies.

Either and then you can zap them after in the microwave as a further precaution.

Doesn't the hook count as a metal part?
