Default crystals

Having bought quite a few game bird wings, feathers etc i thought it was about time i did something to protect this costly little lot so i have some of those thingy crystals cant remember the proper name, my question is do i just sprinkle a few crystals around the drawer were i keep the wings and feathers? All my capes, wings, and feathers are all bagged separately so would you advise that i put a few crystals in each bag as well? As you might have gathered i have never used these crystals before.Thank You

If you store flies in fly boxes, you might want to consider putting a few crystals in the boxes. I opened one of mine up the other day and found about 50 nymphs and dries had been eaten.

Crystals? I was told to use moth balls !!
Trouble is, I can't find anywhere which sells them.
So what crystals should I be looking for, and does any-one know where I can buy them please?
Thanks,
Gary

There are alternatives to Naptha & para crystals, one is cedar wood chips which don't smell anyway near as bad. Another way that's good for capes/skins etc is to use a spray. The beauty of the spray that it can't drop away like crystals. Just google moth proofing spray & you'll find pages of choice

Balls is the answer. I use cedar wood balls and they seem to be working and SWMBO can't complain about the smell.

The cedar chips are not half as good as the Naphthalene or Moth balls.I wouldn't take a chance. The sani blocks for toilets are the same thing and don't smell half as bad

What about this stuff?
They seem to be paper strips, and not too expensive either.
Any-one have any thoughts on them?
