I am still newbee at this forum and i sow a lot of threads about lakes, huge number of paterns for lakes and seetrout,but not so much talk about rivers and paterns for non migratore brownies...so I write about stuf I know,well I think I know

Hear is my best ever fly for catching river trout joni.....my dad and me caught more brown trout on this fly than other pattern we ever used.....dad called it a blue dun and was tied on a size 16 hook.

Tail; white cock hackle fibers
Body; grey thread
Hackle; grey pigeon

I like this fly mr.G...I use something simillar but best trout river fly must be litle more redish than that,if you know what I mean
