hi, just a quick poll to see what you all think.
below are photos of two flies , just need to know which you think will be most effective. all things being as equal as possible!

I'd say neither are rubbish, both would catch. The first better in still-waters the second better on rivers, but would probably work on still-waters too in a buzzer hatch.

So a slight bias towards 'b' but 'horses for courses' and all that!

I do not think you are doing yourself any favours with the poll.It is poorly worded.If you are to have voting option C.then you should have had voting option D 'I would be happy to fish with both'
As stated A is more a stillwater pattern and B is a river type of pattern.

sorry its poorly worded. did not think i would get the post to work at all.
especially as my four year old son is demanding my attention every minute!
and i managed to shrink the photos in photoshop to upload them.
serves me right for feeling smug....

I agree, I'd fish both on the same cast in rivers or lakes, Spider on a dropper, Buzzer on the point.
