Default Alternative crunchers

A few nymphs and crunchers tied with hen pheasant. The original Hot Spot Cruncher was based on a pattern I seen in T&S, 2008, in an article by Stan Headly, but not having the furnace Hen dyed golden olive I used hen pheasant dyed olive. A cracker of a pattern on Lough Erne during the olives. Hope the rest prove half as successful,

Just one question . You have taken the rib round the other way , when tying that off at the head do you find you have to half hitch the thread first to tie in the opposite way round

I hope you see what I am asking

No Danny, when wrapping the opposite way up the body the rib comes to the tying off point on top of the shank insted of below when you leave enough rib to catch in I don't think it would be an issue.

Why do you think you need to half hitch?

I don't fully understand.
