Default Flash ****** video clip

Hi chaps

For those who missed it, below a link to Chris Sandford tying his version of a wooly ******, called a 'Flash ******', then using it to catch fish at Dever Springs last weekend.

Sky Sports | Video | Shows | Tight Lines | Adaptation of the daddy-long-legs

The only omission from the process we filmed (time constraints!!) was to add superglue to the pattern when finished. Ignore the fact it says 'daddy long legs' in the link - it's a mistake.

Pity Chris hasn't yet grasped the difference between pearl & holographic tinsel though.

I don't know about every one else but I just can't stand Chris Sandford as a presenter. He really turns me off fishing, I find he comes over as very false and lacking technical knowlege. As for his fly, a Wooly ****** with a bit flash is simply Wooly ****** with a bit flash. He seems top be trying to make it something its not.

He's probably a nice enough bloke in the flesh, just don't let him do television.

Bit of a drawback that as he's a professional actor!!

He may not (by his own admission incidentally....) be the best angler around - but he arrived at the venue for the film, gave credit where it's due for the invention of the fly, explained his take on it, showed people how to tie it if they want to, tied it on and caught three massive rainbows in the space of half an hour.

Not too shabby......reliable and effective, which is what you want when you are making a film!!!
