Default Woodcock

I got wood cocks today.

I will keep the wings and i guess some of the hackle feathers, anything else worth keeping?

Also anyone got a tried and tested recipe?

look along the wing youll come across a stiff small feather with a very fine tip.1 on each wind same feather they use to paint stripes on cars back in the day.
not very big about an inch or so.use it to apply some varnish.

Always used to get a fright when someone would shout, "cock up" at the sight of a woodcock bursting from cover
