Default Mallard skins

Just been given some mallard skins. Instead of drying out the whole skin I thought I would just pull off the feathers I need. Bronze and cdc.

What I need to know is do I have to treat the feathers I pull out or can I just stick them in a bag and tye away?

Also I have way more than I need here (got 7 skins) if anybody wants any feathers please let me know. Might have some spare bronze too. Anyone is welcome to the wings or any other part.

Someone went to the bother of skinning the birds for you and now you are going to pull the feathers out?

Not fully skined... just slit down the chest, pulled back and breasts cut out. I take it you don't know if i need to treat them with anything then
