Default Gamekeeper with Feathers

I know a retired couple in the village who do all the plucking and skinning of game for one of the local shoots.

In the normal run of things they get pheasant, partridge, duck, pigeon, woodcock (yummy. Got two tonight for supper), hare, deer and so on. I thought I heard mention of jay too..

Could they make a little drinking money by sending it to a feather dealer?

Default Feathers

I had a friend who was a manager for Mac Fisheries, during the game season he had a guy call every week and pick up all the feathers that they had plucked from various birds, Pheasants in particular, who, or where he came from, I do not know, that shouldn't be to difficult to find out from any game dealer, .

about 5 years ago i read something, i think it was in an air gunner magazine. They sent the birds and mamals (crows, magpies, jays, rabbits, hares and squirrells) to i think it was the veniards company, the fly tying company. Im not sure if veniards does this any more. Has anyone else heard about this??
