Black cat help.................

Hi Guys

I was asked the other day what is a black cat fly ? It appears to take both stocked rainbows and wild browns and appears in lots of catch reports ?

To be honest i couldnt really answer the question as i dont think its simply a Cats whisker with chartreuse body,chain eyes, long shank hook, black marabou tails and wings.

I have a feeling its similar but no eyes tied on a short shank ?

Could you guys help a photo would be great !

Just a black cats whiskers is what i've always took it to be. I've got a lot of different ones in my box. ONe with a black tail and wing and a body of sweetcorn single edge fritz has done me realy well.

There is a Black Cat Pike fly but I doubt you are meaning that. What about the Black Cat blob?

Simply change the white bits on a cats whisker to black and you have the Black Cat.Seems to be more universally accepted by both Browns and Rainbows than the white version.
