Default Pike Fly????

I have had a go at tying a pike fly. I think I have made quite a few mistakes and I think I know what they are but I will wait and see the comments from the experts.

I'm sure that will do the business. I don't tie these for pike but I do for the saltwater. One suggestion - use a lot less material.

While there seems to be a problem with Enrico Puglisi's website right now, if you go to here:

Fly Fishing Flies and Materials by Enrico Puglisi

and look under videos (when it works) the free sample fly tying video is his Peanut Bunker which is exactly this style of fly. Well worth a watch.

Thanks for that Steve. I did think I used to much material. I normally tie my trout flies very sparse so I know exactly what you mean. I will have a look at the video.

Good profile but you could use a third of the materials and get a fly with more movement and more translucency.
Have a look here for a very good step by step that might give you an idea for the amount of materials to use.
