Default Hook Keep

I made this over 20years ago it's simple and easy to make every thing I used I had a piece of thin metal about 8" long by 3" wide some tape down each side to cover any sharp edges, bend the thin metal to make a V then attach magnets to the other side, then put your hooks on other side of the magnets I use this tool every time I tie. Look to sweet and biscuits tins for your sheet metal. This stops you dropping hooks on the floor.

I apologise to all the people on here that have moaned about putting punctuation into sentences! As even I find it hard to translate this thread from
Hook. I'm sure this is a very useful tool! but for the life of me I cant make head nor tail of it.
Put us straight man, on what its meant to be and do for us.
PS,
No offence but Iv just downed a dozen pints of black stuff and may be I'm at fault.

Hello Mike, When you take your hooks out of your boxes or bags where do you keep them prior to tying I place my hooks on the sheet metal and because I have placed magnets on the rear of the hook side any hooks you place on the front will stick to it as the magnetism comes through the metal I generally put 2 sizes on 10s and 12s when I'm tying.I hope this helps you.

Regards Robbie

Ooooooohhhhhh my head, Sorry HOOK! Its all clear now, or sort of, still got a slight blurr.
To be honest I keep my hooks in those screw together clear plastic pots that you can get in £ shops.
But your idea seems sound, and if you drop hooks it could be useful to pick them up.
Won't try reading posts after the pub in future.
Mike
