This is my first attempt to post a pic of a fly.
Tied this cruncher last night and have been trying to get a good pic.
Do i need to be taking the pics outside?can't seem to get the colours right.
What about camera settings,im using a samsung p1000.

Just hope the pic worked
Also any comments on my tying good or bad.

Hi DF, taking fly pics outside is a heck of lot easier than faffing around with lighting/set-up indoors. Always pic an overcast day though. Direct sunlight will kill you colours and cause strong highlights/shadows.

The yellowy cast on your pic is probably just down to the wrong white balance setting. Looks like you've used tungsten lighting with white balance set for outdoors, or possibly auto. The auto white balance (AWB) isn't always perfect and can also give a cast.
If you want to take more indoors, then select Tungsten white balance (symbolised by a bulb icon) and see how you go. If that still doesn't look right then try custom white balance (symbolised by the two little triangles with a rectangle in the middle).

Let us know how you go.
