Default Thanks Gerry

Cheers for the Dubbing Gerry.

I've tried to do it justice but let me know what you think.

First up are Dabblers. The first I really like and will definitely be using as an alternative to claret. The second two I'm not to sure about. Golden glow and Living olive. I don't know enough about may fly fishing to say if they might work in that situation?

Next is the Golden Flame. This colour just made me want to use it in conjunction with the Doobry but the only problem is that the Doobry isn't dubbed, none the less I had a play using Gerry's snatcher as a loose pattern. The first doesn't let the dubbing show through too well so tried the second with no palmering which seems to work for me.

Next is an old classic with a tweak the Mallard and Green using the Ruthven Olive. The photo doesn't do it justice but I like the look of this one. Got the idea from last months FT&FF.

The last colour is Sunburst Olive. Ive been a fan of Gerrys Sunburst dubbing for a couple of years now after someone showed me a pattern and I stole some of said dubbing to tie it. I know its not a wet pattern but after a very red letter day on Mentieth two years ago and used very successful by a friend down on the big English ressies I thought it worth a mention.

Its the Stripped Quill cruncher and in this case with a very subtitle thorax of Sunburst Olive.
Still enough of Nymphs, Rock on the 15th March so I can try them out!

Thanks guys,
Baz the original snacher by Gerry is hot orange over badger and I could of sworn I had a cape of it but cant find it for love nor money. Resorted to the Stan Headley way of a couple of turns of orange hen then a couple of turns of shorter black hen.
