Default Fly Giveaway

heya all

I have recently started tying my own flies and have enjoyed it so much I am doing away with my shop bought flies. I have realised that having a couple of fly boxes stuffed full of flies that I do not know how to fish or even know the name of is detrimental to my fishing as i was getting into the habit of swopping flies too often and not taking the time to fish one pattern properly. From now on I am only going to fish flies that I have

a. tied myself
b. know what it is and WHY I am using it

So the upshot is that I have approx 100 or so flies (mixture of dries/wets/lures/nymphs/buzzers) that I am giving away free to a good home. I would like them to go to somebody who really NEEDS them rather than somebody who just WANTS some free flies so if you need some flies send me a PM and I will send them to the most worthy cause.........

p.s I am keeping a couple of daddys and klinks as I have not got the hand of tying them yet

Good for you LeeMajors.
I won't ask for them, as I am in the same position as you.i.e starting to tie my own.

One thing I do find useful though is to keep just one of each pattern which you intend to tie as a comparison.
When I do this it shows me what they SHOULD look like, although they often don't.
Good luck with the tying.
Regards,
Gary
