this afternoons efforts

heres a few pics of this afternoons efforts at the vice ....simple spiders .

i usually tie 10 of each pattern then move onto the next .

todays pattern was woodcock and yellow


hook ..daiichi dry fly , size 14
thread ..pearsalls yellow silk
hackle ..woodcock upperwing covert

sorry about the quality of the pics ....my camera is garbage even with macros on .

You just cant beat the old Spiders Sid , there aint nuttin like them......

I'm amazed at all the messages congratulating Sid on his flies. They may indeed be very good, however without any close ups I don't see how anyone can tell what they are like? On top of that it is surely difficult not to tie a good fly which consists of only half a body of silk and a hackle.
