No nothing about mays but have some pink partridge so stripped an old fly as i have no hooks and came up with this.

Probably useless but you never know.

Hook; size 10 b175 kam
Tail; cock pheasant tail
Body; claret seals fur
Body hackles pink/violet ( palmered together )
Rib; oval gold wire
Throat hackle; hot orange
Head hackle; pink french paartridge

Well they do say that PINK is the new black. Nice tying, you won,t know if it works until you try it but that's a while away yet unfortunately.

Seems to be making an impact the pink, i guess i should do a couple more just incase.

Nice fly g bigtrout and nothing wrong with the colour, BUT

Just my opinion

The tail is to heavy and out of proportion, maybe a softer hackle feather would be better than the pheasant tail.

That said, it will catch fish.

Do you think the tail is too short, the pheasant tail seemed soft to me and i was thinking of using bristles from a paint brush.
New area for me so any pointers appreciated.
