Spider is on a distinguished road
Default Best Olive Dun / Emerger

Moving on to tying these now ....have tied up 10 CDC versions ( olive CDC body, natural cdc wing ties back as normal - a la Greenhalgh )

What would the great and good on the forum recommend as being vital patterns in size 14/18 ?

Buzz' CDC emerger is next ( on Kamasan B100 or similar)
Klink ?

I hate tying with deer hair so CDC and Elk probably a non runner

What Olive dry would you not be without ?

Cheers

Have you tried using snowshoe rabbit, it's got great floatation. I'm sure you could sue it instead of deer hair.

And whispering in their ears
Give them unquiet dreams;
Leaning softly out
From ferns that drop their tears
Over the young streams.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

Thumbs up

Spider,

Never without a Cul de Canon. Very quick and easy, although is does require a tiny amount of deerhair (maybe 10 strands or so). Suggest you try these as it would build the confidence using deer hair, as you catch the deer hair in like just as you would the CDC
