Default Blitz!!

Hi All,

Here's something a little bit different. One for the stockies which I had done in an article for troutfisherman a few years ago.
The blitz came about due to the success I was having with Nomads, however the pattern to say the least, was not to international rules. Therefore instead of adding the gold bead I Bulked the head of the fly up with white UNI thread big fly thread, almost like a buzzer thorax.A spot of super glue, a few licks of fluro Float paint and hard as nails and I had a legal weighted fly, that would sink head first on the drop and yet would be to international rules.Hence the name part epoxy buzzer part fritz, a blitz!!
I have tried it in all the usual colours, coral, orange and white, but at this time of the year the balck and green does seem to do the damage.

Cheers,
Saracen

Default

I can just imagine the adjudicators eyes poppping out of his head as this was swung round for checking, and the conversation that followed.(no it's not.-Yes it is.-NO it's not-YES it is-NO IT'S NOT-YES IT IS.)
Then the wee plastic bag coming out.fly placed ceramoniously inside.then inside the envelope.then having to sign for it.
Brilliant.

Ta Cyldestyle,

I have also tried a big black buzzer with the same size and colour of head, really over sized and it slaughtered them.I must have a look and see if I have a photo.

Thanks for the feedback,
Saracen

Hi Jim,

Yep I Quite agree, it is one of those one's!!! I can just imagine it too. What faces would be pulled at that one!!
But then again if they allow epoxy buzzers, then this would have to pass!!
