Default My god it actually worked

Hi
Tried one of my first ties out today and it actually worked ! It was a weighted bloodworm concoction and actually took 5 fish ! lost a few others plus the biggest trout Ive ever hooked in my life. Although i guess it wasnt tied very well as it was falling to bits by the end of the day !

Well done Img, it's a great feeling.

Good stuff Img. One of the best feelings in the world.
Dont have the fly I caught my first trout on but I do have the fly I caught my first salmon on.
Keep that bloodworm and get it framed.

Goood Lad !!!

Can't call yourself a proper fly fisherman until you've caught a fish on a fly you tied yourself You'll find now that you want to tie more and more and more . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Definitely, although found out that my new bobbin holder is Knacked, Ive been having a lot of trouble with thread snapping, but on closer inspection it seems the tube on the holder is actually fraying the thread so must be some damage to it.
