Thanks WP, far from retired just been busy filling other peoples boxes with some staples.

Its a size 14 dressed short. This year i am making a conscious effort to create movement sub surface on my dries (or damp if you wanna argument)thus the legs/subtle hackle. I have tried all sorts;rabbit, squirrel, mink and hare to get more movement into the fly under the film and CDC is the only one in my eyes that achieves what i want, i am close to churning out another with an alternative set of legs but just working on the technique to get it right, it looks hellish. Forgive me but i appear to take this way too seriously

NCA they are Hareline dubbing Biots from Lathkill, i bought one of every colour and they suck! Buy Orvis if you can IMO, they are a far superior product but they dont do the range of colours i want.

Very nice Spare and delicate - just as an olive should be.

Interesting hook choice though... why the curved hook?

Very kind Dave thanks.
The Gold coloured hook was sheer chance more than anything.
The curved hook and particularly the B100 is because of its strength and phenomenal hooking abilities, i like the way the weight makes them sit deep IN the film, its a mighty strong hook and the pattern was conceived for a particular bit of water where some heavyweights patrol, the water is moderately broken and you need long cast to get to them. If your lucky enough to get a rise its not the sort of situation you gently lift, you have to try and beast them in

I use the B100 a lot for piles of patterns, i rate it very highly.

...and I'm certain you'll have one out with this pattern.

I see now that you're tying this as an emerger... I originally thought it was a dun imitation ... hence my question

I'll get my coat..
