Default Aero midge

Here is a wee midge pattern for the stillwater angler hot off the vice.

I havent fished with patterns with aero wing in them but thanks to a bit of advice from Pom, on how to make it float better , might come up with something yet before the season opens .
Anybody been using it in loch style patterns with success? (need a bit of inspiration )

Jim

I've been working on some midge patterns for next seasons river campaign as I tyhink that in common with many I tend to ignore chironomids on the river. here's an emerger pattern I've been playing with.

It's tied on a size 16 Tiemco 2488.

Dabhoy yeh know what you mean I saw this style of pattern in one of Goddards books years ago originally for hawthorn . I was thinking the wing would be a good sub for cdc as it might be less maintainance ?

Lighthouse cool pattern .
