Default Madeira holographic tinsel

Just found this on ebay if anybody is interested,8,200 metre spools of holographic tinsel for a tenner delivered.

Madiera materials are great, I use a lot of them in my saltwater tying, and also the metallic tinsels and threads for competition sparklers. They are much easier to use than hanks of flashabou although the colours are a bit limited. My most succesful "flashy" fly last year was a sparkler tied with a pearly body and wing mix of white pearl and gold metailic tinsel.

They can be difficult to find but John Lewis does have some of the materials in the haberdashery dept and as stated in the original posting ebay is full of the stuff.

I have the holographic tinsel mentioned and it is exactly the same strength and size as that sold by Lureflash etc etc but on a larger spool.

You can get it here as well. As said by Chris, seems exactly the same as the 'fly tying' stuff (I suspect it's made in the same factory).

Check out some of the other stuff there as well, could be useful, how about these
