Default Small Rubber Bands for Spools

I've just been re-winding some tinsels back onto bobbins. They seem to be able to unwind themselves! Does anyone know where you can get small size rubber bands or some other type of retainer to keep lurex etc on the spool?

I have seen special clips, not sure where though. I use sections cut from a bike inner tube. If your struggling, drop me a pm with your address and i'll send you a section.

Steve.

The best thing for this is a section of sprial binding from an old pamphlet, no not the wire ones but the plastic clip type. They come in 3 sizes and you want the middle size for normal size spools. You can buy 24 x 11 inch ones for around £3 from Rymans and they will last you forwever, just cut them to the size of your spool of tinsel.
Someone was selling them at the Spring Fly fair for £2 for 10 x 1" bits which you have to admit is a good profit margin.

Cheers
