My favourite lure from days of old When i first fished reservoirs this was always my first fly tied on and it caught plenty of fish, i usually always have some in my box now although updated with modern materials.

First time ive ever seen them tied with magenta floss, although it could be the camera makes it look so red

It's a great fly, I have a Techno Tree version that I tie, see the mag, I was showing Rob Edmunds it and it got a good going over, he was very keen on it.

I had to check with Mr. Parton for the proper materials, it's bang on seemingly.

I wouldnt disagree then The very first one i was given was exactly the same tying only with a flourescent pink throat. Sometimes you just see a fly, like the way it looks and thats your confidence instantly instilled in it. I think that was the case for me and once you have the confidence in it.......well thats all you need

I never really had the same confidence with jack frosts or jersey herds
