Default Alternative to chenille

Hi
I was wondering. Is there an alternative to chenille? I've got tinsel from the tree and capes and thread and dubbing on it's way but I don't fancy shelling out straight away on chenille so all suggestions are very welcome.
Thanks
Paul

Don't worry about Chenille mate. Build up yer seals furs, straggle's, fritz's, furs, ice-dubs, glisters etc the list goes on and on. I doubt that I'm alone in thinking that Chenille is at the bottom of the pile when it comes to body materials. No life or light, poor colours/range, and very limited usage. Having said that, there are a few 'essential' patterns, that call for Chenille - Cats type lures, Wolley Bug*ers, Pitsford-Pea type things etc. You can manage all those though with two colours though - black, and a flourescent green or chartreuse
