Exclamation A fly 'featuring' the colours Scarlet and Grey.

Ah well, the "Rose Bowl" is over and my Oregon "Ducks" bit the dust. Had a bet with an Ohio fan .... looser ties a fly in the others school colours ... We lost so I'm searching for a fly pattern that features 'Scarlet and Grey.'

Know of any Atlantic Salmon patterns that are primarily tied in those colours?

Fred

Not sure if you can do a variant on this one, cant recall any with grey but the Apache Shrimp is a great taker of the Atlantic Salmon over here got the scarlet but no grey.

I don't do pics, but the following, the Cardineal, may, with a bit of tinkering, fit the bill.

Cardineal
Tail - Scarlet hackle fibres
Body - Flat silver
Hackle (throat) - Scarlet hen
Wing - Scarlet dyed duck or goose
Overwing - Fold a slip of well marked teal over the wing.

Okay, the overwing isn't grey but the effet is similar.

Tying a fly from a 'description,' has always been beyond me .. Google no help that I could tell. Do you have a link that shows me what the above looks like?
