Default Flymphs - which beads

I'm referring to the article in the January 2010 S&T (p15) - Return of the Flymph.

For some patterns the author uses glass beads, 2-2.5mm. No other information is given, although they look more cylindrical rather than round.

I had a look in Hobbycraft this afternoon but did not find anything quite like those shown:

Could anyone please suggest a make/model and source for these beads.

Thanks

Now Brian, Louis has done a very good article but they not strictly flymphs. Here are two authentic types for you. Leisenring tied many patterns but his favourite was the those hackled through the thorax.

This represents the Olives and can be tied down to size 18.

This one represents a sedge and has no tail.
