Default Babbler

Not a Buzzer nor a Dabbler?

Will it work, I'm convinced it will!

It's actually for brownies!
You say stockies will take anything? You're correct, I've seen one with a chicken leg in it's mouth!

Hi Steve,

Nice concept, its surely got to work as an emerging midge. Maybe a single stand of mirage or crystal flash would help in the wing.

it kind of reminds me of Carl's Irish cormorants -

http://www.flyforums.co.uk/trade-cla...ormorants.html

Not sure how he got on with them.

Cheers
Ben

Well its a pretty looking buzzer with a dabbler type wing,
im sure it will catch for you mate,
irish trout tend to go for the beefier flies,

i know id have more confidence in a heavily dressed dabbler steve with a longish tail and cloak!!

Just my preferance mate?

Did you settle on a name for the green fly you tied for ireland!!

Cheers for that gents, Irish boys do like them beefy, I know that much. I just fancied something slim, something that will work on the brownies here to.

A name for the green fly: Dave!

This is perhaps a concept that can be taken and improved and developed, let's try it?!

Hobb, Just went out and bought a D50 and some nice new lenses, Need my own stuff mate.... what you using?

Thin that wing and throat down a bit and it'll definitely work. N more than 10 fibres, 6 would be better.
