Default preserving bird wings- help please

i am trying to preserve some bird wings but am having some difficulty.
the skins have been fine with borax but the wings are not drying at all- there is a lot of meat on the cock pheasant wings. - do i have to remove all meat and bone from the wings (im also drying some partridge and a blackbird (that flew into a window))or just the meaty ones?
any advice gratefully received.

Yes you have to remove as much of the meat as practically possible. I just make an incision along the underside of the "upper arm" of the wing and scrape it out. Leave the bone. Make sure you press the borax into the area. It will take care of the rest. After a week, tip off the borax and scrape off any that's stuck to the area where you removed the meat and then reapply.

Default try this

use acetone to clean the fleshy areas remove fatty bits i use salpetre to treat exposed areas wrap in newspaper leave for 1 week check every now and again and dont forget to put in freezer for a few days to ensure there is no infestations i have seen growin men intears wehn they open up there feathers box and they are crawling and store in resealable bags with some crushed moth balls sounds a bit much but i learned this process from old handers and its never let me down
