Default Vice advise

Hi fellas need some advise, My current vice a is a cheap sprung lever job about 25 quid from sportfish years ago. I think its time I got something better but not really up to date with whats out there. I rarely tie larger than a size 10 and want a vice with a base , not a clamp . Any suggestions for one as reasonably priced as possible ? ,

Hi Coasty,
I bought a Snowbee Fly-mate off Gerry at Artifly before Christmas for just over £30 delivered. It's well engineered and should last a lot longer than my Lureflash AA vice that came in my starter kit and fell apart in my hands when I added too much force to the lever.

It's higher than I'm used to and the pedestal version is not height adjustable but I'm getting used to it.

Hi WW

Hi I got the same vice at an excellent price aswell, can't beat grommit and the apex has proved superb for me.
