Default Hot Glue Shrimp

Just hot glue and coloured wire. Transparent, natural, soft legs, solid, realistic...

Default Real Shrimp!!!

Is this real?
I would personally be scared to fish with this. If I got hanked on the bottom the wet suit would come out
Very nice fly. Did you tie it yourself?

Thanks guys, there is one more for today.

In fact, it's a kind of easy and quick tie, just if you got a hot glue and copper wire.

do you tease the legs out with a bodkin as the glue is setting?

given the number of shades of hot glue available you could produce quite a variety with this technique.

thanks for posting

Neat! clever but so simple. Love to see materials exploited like that.

First thing is to make a hotglue body over a wire. I use hotglue-gun to put some hotglue all over the hook. Later, i warm that with a lighter again and rotate to get a nice smooth shape. Then, warm a extra piece of hotglue with a lighter, touch a body and easily stretch, cut with scissors and that's the leg. There's no need for bodkin.
I couldn't make step by step with camera today, but i hope that this simple Tarzan/English explanation will help.
