Default Smutting Shuttle #28

Some days, small flies can make all the difference. With the hook weight so low, just a tiny amount of CDC will keep them floating all day.

Hook: Varivas 2300 #28
Thread: Synton 0.05 x2, olive
Tail: 2 strands DNA Frosty Fibre
Abdomen: Tying thread

I agree, several times last season I found several fish feeding on greenfly, I managed to get a few on a green size 20 that I had pulled the tails off, but I feel I did miss out. I never got round to tying any smaller ones. I've got some tied up now on Varivas 2300 but not as servere as size 28 but who knows maybe I'll need to tie some up one day.

Is it just my eyes or does the rib thread look thicker than the body thread?

I think it's a optical illusion - I know what you mean, but I promise they are the same material.
