Default CDC Loop Emerger (spray)

Hook: Partridge BN15 #16
Thread: Sheer 14/0, tan
Abdomen: Orvis Spectrablend, light olive
Rib: Tying thread with Zelon (caddis amber) inserted between strands
Trailing wing: Woodduck fibres
Thorax: CDC, olive, inserted in split thread
Loop Wing: CDC, natural

Very nice. One thing I've taken to doing on CDC emergers is to bind the ends of the CDC backwards again rather than leaving it sitting out over the hook eye. For some reason I think it looks more natural.

I'm sure Dave will answer but I think he means the effect of splitting the split thread dubbed CDC thorax with the loop wing.

BTW if you take a look here you will see how Marc Petitjean coaxes the CDC to sit on top of the shank. You can do the same to form the thorax and then split it with the (other colour) CDC thorax cover loop wing.
