Hook; size 10 kam b175
Tag; fluorescent wool
Body; claret seals fur
Body; hackle black cock
Rib; oval gold
Throat hackle; black cock
Head hackle; black hen

Nothing special there, but it takes top position in my fly box for the bows....have tied hundreds of these for family and friends and has never failed to catch for us, just thought i would share

Like i said just a fly that has caught the bows for me on every lake ive tried it, so i tie more of these than any other fly i use

yep like that geordie, similar to zulu , clan chiefs, etc, good brownie pattern on both river and lough

Yep geordie a great fly , given to me by a fella from omagh when he was down on lough sheelin,

catches any where its fished,

Yip big lad ok,....slapped me and the bro,s hands when in boat with him at carromore....thought him and bro where going to have a scrap at one point, but when he near fell out of boat laughing we knew it was going to be good craic in pub later..Seamus Henry near wet himself in the pub l8r that day.....did have 2 salmon and 2 seatrout though on that claret fly
