hi can anyone tell me what material they use for blob tails?

I use mirror flash in small bunches

Flashabou (Silver, Gold, UV)

Glow Bright Thread and Floss (Fluro Green, Orange, Red, Yellow, Pink)


For Subtle Blobs

Marabou (Olive Greens, Black, Claret)

Depends how you like them i suppose,...i mucked about with some and called them bells....used fluorescent wool in these

I use no tail on most of mine, with a Turrall Chartreuse ice yarn tail on some the "pearl" blobs which is very effective. I have used pearl and uv tails from Turrall (nice flash products) but don't like them IMO, a pearl wing 3 quarters up the hook can be effective though.

I use a superglue finish on most my blobs (cheers Fred!), this one has a small fl thread head. Just shows how much you can pack on the hook.
