Default Which mallard and where can I get some?

Hi all,
I am a bit confused about mallard feathers.
I want to have a go at some dabblers, but I'm not sure which mallard feathers to buy. I want a selection of colours, but do I get bronze, or silver?
Is it the shoulder feathers I need?
Also, a lot of sellers seem to be out of stock. (Obviously everyone is busy tying dabblers!) Any-one know where I can get a selection?
Thanks in advance,
Gary.

If you can't source any bronze mallard but you have the grey mallard or teal feathers just colour them with a brown sharpie pen. These make a good substitute, not as good as the actual bronze mallard, but the fish dont seem to mind.

You can also make some interesting variations with other colours using sharpie or pantone pens. Easier than messing around with dyes.
