Default Spent Gnat

Trying my hand at the Anderson Spent Gnat

It is a difficult bug*er to tie and not one I am very familar with but has stood the test of time

Any advice would be welcome

Is the body too thin???

Nice one . I like the fact you have trimmed the hackle underneath to get it to sit flatter on the water . So many are left and to my mind they look a bit wrong sitting high off the water . Some I bought were not cut down and I am sure after I had cut the hackle I caught more fish ???

Ermmm, I really don't know what to say to that Steve

It's a long shank 8 but I can understand your confusion

Thank you for the kind comments guys I am not entirely happy with it

The body is a bit thin, one of the iron blue wing tips spun a wee bit and the Iron blue hackle at the back is a bit long

To the vice again
