Default Listen to the river

Does anyone have the listen to the river books?
I am interested in tying some of these patterns, are they reasonably straight forward.
If anyone has the books for sale i would be interested.

Cheers

I have both books but not for sale.
I would say the patterns are generally intermediate level with a few odd bits of advanced. They are quite material specific and you'll need to get in a lot of Steve's product to copy them faithfully. He's a very good innovative tier but a few of them are too fussy for me. Try Paul Morgan at Coch y Bhonddu book, he will have an oidea if they are available anywhere.
Have you checked on the Virtual Nymph website, Vol 2 might still be in stock. A bit of the stuff from Vol 1 has been published in the magazines

Cheers

Thanks Chris.

Next question, how well do the patterns fish?
I guess thats the proof of the pudding as they say.

They all catch fish , but unless you really like tying them you'll only do a couple as I have and then won't use them.

I rely on the cheap easy ties that don't break my heart when a tree eats them.

Posh and complicated flies are for selling to customers.

Cheers
