Question Latex???

Recently clearing out fly tying box and found a pack of free materials i got with an order i had with somewhere so open it up and find a sample of deer hair latex sheet and sample P.T legs. Other 2 i understand but fon't known what to do with the latex. the only thing i could think was czech nymph backs?

If you roll it tightly, you can cut it with heavy scissors around 3mm wide & wind overlapping turns for a segmented body. Only problem with latex is it rots with age esp. if daubed with felt tips.

As Arkle points out not very durable. But sexy looking and the fish can take the patterns well.

Material can come very cheaply from gloves used in the medical profession and in the motor trade.

In true Blue Peter style here are a few I tied earlier and they worked.
