I got tired of practicing O.Edwards' Masterclass baetis nymphs (great kudos to anyone who can tie those well at size 18!!) and decided to bang out an easy one:

This is the first off the vice. When I melted the tip of the body I was left with a tiny blob of gunk which I nipped off with scissors. Looked okay until I looked at the photo.

Hook: Tiemco 2488 #16
Thread: Gordon Griffiths Sheer 14/0 Dun
Abdomen: dark-olive micro velvet chenille
Thorax: Black peacock ice dub
Loop wing: Mallard CDC
