Default Super hollow pike fly.

Had an hour to kill Sunday, so sat down at the tying bench to do a hollow tie pike fly, so came up with this pattern.

Full side view, this is a big fly. tied on a long shank 6/0 hook 7 inch long.

Dressing.
Hook- Sakuma 545 manta extra,
Thread- Danville 140 den, color tan.
Tail- Bucktail white and orange pearl angel hair peacock herl,
Wing- Bucktail white /olive, pearl angel hair, peacock herl.
Throat- White bucktail,
Body- Pearl mylar wound on,
Rib- Red mylar,
Body top coat- Epoxy with gold sparkle,
Body- 2nd coat clear epoxy,
Head- Gator eye coated with clear epoxy.

hi mate, looks great,
will the fly spin upside down on the retrieve??

Thanks for your comment on tie, as regards the fly flipping. no the hook acts as a keel and it fishes the right way up.

Great looking fly Dai,would do the biz on the Bass as well,Those gator eyes are good.
